No, you do not need a GP referral to receive therapy. You can reach out to me directly through the contract link at the top of the page.
If you have a GP Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP), you may be eligible for a Medicare rebate. Your GP can arrange this for you, although you’ll need to make an appointment specifically to discuss your mental health care plan.
With a Better Access Mental Health Care Plan from your GP, you will receive a rebate for 6 sessions initially. Subject to a GP review there is a maximum of 10 sessions, with rebate, from Medicare within a calendar year. You can find further information here Better Access initiative | Australian Government Department of Health, Disability and Ageing

You will need to contact your Private Health Fund and ask them if they will cover Therapy as each policy and insurance provider differs. If your insurance does cover you, I will provide you with a receipt to take to your insurer to claim the rebate. Your rebate amount will differ depending on your level of cover and your provider.
