Reaching out for support can feel overwhelming, but you don't have to navigate life's challenges alone. My aim is to provide a warm, supportive, and non-judgemental space where you feel comfortable to be yourself. I draw on evidence-based approaches, including EMDR and Schema Therapy, to provide therapy that is both compassionate and practical.

I work collaboratively with each person, recognising that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. Every session is tailored to your individual experiences, strengths, values, and goals. My role isn't to tell you what to do, but to support you in developing insight, building resilience, and creating lasting change at a pace that feels right for you.

Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR)

EMDR is an evidence-based therapy that helps people process and recover from distressing or traumatic experiences. Sometimes difficult experiences can become "stuck," continuing to influence how we think, feel, and respond long after the event has passed.

EMDR helps the brain reprocess these memories so they become less distressing and no longer have the same emotional impact. While the memories remain, they often feel less overwhelming, allowing you to move forward with greater confidence and emotional freedom.

Before beginning trauma processing, we'll work together to ensure you have the skills and resources to feel safe and supported throughout therapy. EMDR is always tailored to your individual needs, and you remain in control throughout the process.

Studies have shown that clients who have undertaken EMDR therapy can experience the benefits of psychotherapy that once took years to make a difference. EMDR may be helpful for trauma, PTSD, anxiety, phobias, low self-esteem, and other difficulties where past experiences continue to affect the present.

Schema Therapy is an evidence-based approach that helps you understand the deeper patterns that shape how you think, feel, and relate to yourself and others. These patterns, known as schemas, often develop early in life and can continue to influence your relationships, emotions, and behaviours well into adulthood.

Together, we'll explore where these patterns come from, how they may be affecting your life today, and work towards developing healthier ways of coping and responding. Schema Therapy can be particularly helpful for long-standing difficulties such as low self-esteem, relationship challenges, anxiety, depression, and the lasting impact of childhood or relational trauma.

The goal isn't to change who you are—it's to help you understand yourself with greater compassion, break unhelpful patterns, and create lasting change.
